Turangi Vacay Part 1 - Trout Farm

So Tui's job requires him to work different hours and different days then a usual 9-5.  It does mean though that every second weekend he gets Sat, sun, mon, tue off and goes back to work wed morning.  So we took advantage of one of his long weekends to go away for a bit.  We went to the airforce holiday home in Turangi (where we'd been last year for our snow adventure, also where Vili was blessed).  My sister and her family came with us.  The first two days it poured with rain.  But then we had 2 good days of beautiful weather that we took advantage of.

We visited the trout farm, feed the fish, and walked by the river.  It was really misty and dark and the air was so wet it was amazing.  So different to what we're used to.  It reminded me of Twilight = I loved it!

Because the area is volcanic, there is pumas everywhere, and everyone makes these pumas towers.  We collected a bunch and we're gunna make one for our Nana to put in her garden.

Cousins, ready to feed the fish.

It was incredible to see how many fish there were.  I've seen this many goldfish in a koi pond, but these are trout people, big old giant trout!
