Our dream house

On monday night Brooke and Sam invited us over to their house for FHE (Photos of their wedding and their best bridesmaid every (aka me) are still coming). We made gingerbread houses. Actually they were gram cracker houses. We'd never done this before, its a very american thing. You use frosting to hold the pieces together and lollies to decorate. It was so much fun. Tui had some lofty plans which took a while to build, for a while i just wanted to opt for the easy option. But we persevered and it was great!!

This is Tui concentrating very very hard.

Me enjoying the experience.

Brooke and Sam - great team work.

Ta Da!! The end result.

After the building part, Tui had to take care of Malachi who was mad we weren't paying attention to him. And i dont think my lovely husband has very much patience for decorating. So he took care of the roof of nerds and the back decor.

We went for a hawaiian theme so there are sunbathers, a pool the works.

The Tafuna Family with their first candy house - Sarah's dream house.

Me and Brooke with our houses.

I think that maybe we will adopt this tradition. Maybe we'll do it at halloween time instead to use up all the candy we dont eat. :) It sure was alot of fun. Thanks guys for inviting us over!

Looks fun...but where are you going to get the gingerbread kit at Halloween time? If you can find it, I'm SO down to jump on that bandwagon :)
