Night 3 - tonight wasn't that bad. A couple of minutes of crying, then he fell and hit his head on the side of the crib so a few more minutes of crying. Then Daddy picked him up so we had to start all over again....grrrrrrrr.... But 5 more minutes of crying and he's out. Not so bad, definately not as bad as the night time. Here's hoping it keeps getting better.

It's hard, seeing your little one cry. Spencer is not so little anymore, but it's still hard for us to let him cry. But be strong! Once you give in just a little, it messes the whole system up.
P.S. And Saia was always the one messing up the system. I swear, dads are the biggest wimps when it comes to their kids. :)
We had the same problem with Star. She started sleeping through the night when she was 2 1/2 months then when she turned 4 months which was right before we left Hawaii She started waking up in the middle of the night wanting to nurse. I not knowing any better would wake up and nurse her let her sleep in our bed. Then when she was about 5 1/2 months and I was staying with my mom for a month and half and she told me to do just what your doing stop rocking her to sleep and nursing her in the night just let her cry it out. she finally stoped waking up in the night. She still cry for about 5 to 10 minutes at night when we put her down she just hates to go to bed eventhough she is tired. I got her in this system without Erik and so she was pretty much trained when I met up with Erik. I have found though it's harder on Grandpa's. My dad and Erik's Dad both offer to hold her when she cries herself to sleep. I just wanted to let you know it's normal, it was hard for me to hear my baby cry herself to sleep too.
No, don't have parental advice, but all I can say is GOOD Job and good luck in keeping this up ;)
